JLG Forklift Parts - Following retirement in the late 1960's, John L. Grove embarked on on a cross country RV voyage. After spending many years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.

Whilst on their journey, John spent time conversing with past business associates whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic occurrence-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were traveling to the Hoover Dam- John uncovered an infinite marketplace for a product that could promptly and securely lift people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building services.

After their return from vacation, John set up a business with two of his friends and purchased a metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty staff, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates many of the simple design elements of that original lift into current designs.

JLG forklifts have come a long way since Mr. John L. Grove returned to town from his cross-country road trip and since the initial aerial work platform debuted on the market. These days, the business proudly continues to expand itself into a range of marketplaces worldwide and develops new products to make sure customers are capable of being more efficient and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
